NCNS offers play-based learning programs for children ages 18 months to 6 years in addition to various optional enrichment programs. The programs at NCNS have a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 7, with our Early 3’s classes having a lower ratio of 1 to 6. We feel these are appropriate ratios for the age groups represented in each class. DCFS regulation requires a teacher to student ratio that does not exceed 1 to 10.

Each class (except Parent & Tot) has thirty minutes weekly of music and movement with our music specialist Shannon Sherman. Shannon holds a Master’s degree in Music Therapy. Along with singing songs, the children will have a chance to play various instruments, learn about different musical styles, play to the rhythm and beat as well as sing in various languages.
