Parent & Tot Class

This class is led by a member of our NCNS staff and offers parents, caregivers, and children an opportunity to spend quality time together in a small group, enriching environment. Activities include open play, art projects, stories, songs, snack and more. Open to children between 18 months and older as of September 1, 2008.

NCNS offers a variety of enrichment classes including Music classes and Theatre classes.

Music Trax Music and Movement

These parent / child classes are taught by our music specialist Shannnon Sherman. Shannon has a Master’s Degree in music therapy. Her experience includes teaching at Wiggleworms in Chicago and Partners in Play at the Oak Park Children's Museum, as well as work with children and adults with disabilities. The classes include singing, stories, finger plays, rhythmic movement and instrument play that will expand your child's musical experience.

14 Week Session:
September - January, January - April
Classes on Wednesday: from 9:15 - 10:00 a.m.

for ages 18 months to 3 years

Lookingglass Children's Theatre

In these classes, children will play introductory improvisational games and use their imaginations to work on short skits and act out folk and fairy tales. Classes are taught by instructors from the LOOKINGGLASS THEATRE in Chicago.

14 Week Session:
September - January, January - April
Classes on Wednesday: 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. or
3:00 - 3:45 p.m. for ages 3-5
3:45 - 4:45 p.m. for grades K-2
